How to Set Up Your Pulse
Setting up your Pulse is simple — just a few taps and it’s ready to carry what matters to you.
Here’s how to get started:

Use your Shuffle Pocket tool (or any standard screwdriver)

Replace your existing screw with the Pulse NFC Screw

Tighten it securely — you're ready for the next step
✅ Step 2: Download a Free NFC Writing App
You'll need an app to write your first message or link into Pulse.
Here are a few we recommend (free to download):

We suggest NFC Tools for the smoothest experience.
✅ Step 3: Write Your Message Into Pulse
Once you’ve installed the app:

Open NFC Tools

Tap “Write”

Choose what you want to store:

A website link (Spotify playlist, Instagram, portfolio, etc.)

A simple text note (e.g., "Happy 30th — we made it.")

A contact card

A shortcut command (like opening a to-do list)

Follow the prompt to hold your phone near the Pulse Screw

Success! Your message is now saved inside your Shuffle.
✅ Step 4: Test It
Exit the app.
Now, just tap your Shuffle Pocket (Pulse side) onto your phone.
Your saved message should pop up automatically — no app needed to read.
If it opens — you’re good to go.
If not, check that NFC is enabled on your phone (Settings > NFC).

How to Write Your First Message
Getting started with Pulse is easy — you don’t even have to leave our site.
Here’s how to write your first message into your Pulse Screw:
Step 1: Open the Pulse Message Builder
Go to our Pulse Message Builder →
You’ll see a simple form where you can type your custom message.
You can write anything meaningful to you:

A birthday note

A prayer or quiet encouragement

A personal quote

Or even a private inside joke
Step 2: Generate Your Link
After typing your message, click "Generate Link."
The Builder will create a special link based on your words.
This link is what you'll store inside Pulse.
Step 3: Write the Link into Pulse Using NFC Tools

Open the NFC Tools app on your phone

Tap "Write"

Choose "Add a Record" → "URL/URI"

Paste the link you just generated

Tap "Write" and hold your phone near the Pulse Screw
That’s it — your message is now saved inside Pulse.
