How to Set Up Your Pulse
Setting up your Pulse is simple — just a few taps and it’s ready to carry what matters to you.
Here’s how to get started:
✅ Step 1: Install Your Pulse Screw
-
Use your Shuffle Pocket tool (or any standard screwdriver)
-
Replace your existing screw with the Pulse NFC Screw
-
Tighten it securely — you're ready for the next step
✅ Step 2: Download a Free NFC Writing App
You'll need an app to write your first message or link into Pulse.
Here are a few we recommend (free to download):
-
NFC Tools (Available for iOS and Android)
-
NXP TagWriter (Android only)
We suggest NFC Tools for the smoothest experience.
✅ Step 3: Write Your Message Into Pulse
Once you’ve installed the app:
-
Open NFC Tools
-
Tap “Write”
-
Choose what you want to store:
-
A website link (Spotify playlist, Instagram, portfolio, etc.)
-
A simple text note (e.g., "Happy 30th — we made it.")
-
A contact card
-
A shortcut command (like opening a to-do list)
-
-
Follow the prompt to hold your phone near the Pulse Screw
-
Success! Your message is now saved inside your Shuffle.
✅ Step 4: Test It
Exit the app.
Now, just tap your Shuffle Pocket (Pulse side) onto your phone.
Your saved message should pop up automatically — no app needed to read.
If it opens — you’re good to go.
If not, check that NFC is enabled on your phone (Settings > NFC).
